Ants love peonies. But they don’t go after the buds on tree peonies. Which is weird because I have both buds on a single bush so they’re right next to each other. My bush has been a great conversation piece, and I’ll tell you it was a bit puzzling for me initially to figure out this strange plant of mine. I get yellow tree peony blossoms and regular pink blossoms on the same bush. Lucky me, I guess… but I’m really not fond of pink flowers.
